Tripp Lite Metered PDU with Auto-Transfer Switch (ATS) for 1U Rackmount

The PDUMH20ATS is a single-phase 20A ATS PDU that distributes and monitors network-grade power in real-time. Ideal for network IT applications, small computer rooms, and other equipment rack applications, this metered PDU provides real-time local reporting of the total load level via its built-in digital current metering.

The PDU features 16 NEMA 5-15/20R 120V outlets for connecting equipment, and dual 12-foot (3.7-meter) power cords with NEMA L5-20P inputs (two 5-20P adapters are included) that connect to separate primary and secondary mains circuits, backup generators, UPS systems, or utility power grids, including out-of-phase sources.

The automatic transfer switching (ATS) function allows the PDU to switch to the secondary source within 2-7 milliseconds, should the primary source fail or become unstable, ensuring connected equipment operates without interruption. The on-board ATS processor constantly evaluates the power quality of both input sources and prevents switching if the secondary source is unavailable or of lower quality than the primary source.

The digital ammeter reports the total load for all connected equipment, helping to ensure load levels remain well below maximum capacity, preventing potentially expensive overloads that could lead to costly downtime or damaged equipment. Maintaining proper load levels, even while adding new equipment, can keep the total cost of ownership (TCO) low.

The PDUMH20ATS can be mounted into 1U of rack space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting hardware, or it can be secured to a wall or under a counter using the mounting brackets.

The product is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), making it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
